Blue Sky Monday

Happy Sunday to you.

I was told last week, that blue Monday… was fast approaching, a day that tiptoes towards us every winter.

Blue Monday. I’d never heard of it before. Have you?

The third Monday of January is dubbed the most depressing day of the year in the UK – well, perhaps everywhere? I wasn’t clear on that part.

I thought I’d learn a little more before writing this note, and it is (of course) pseudoscientific. Invented by marketers as a ploy for travel companies to sell holidays. So why am I even mentioning it? Well because I was told it by an actual person – not British Airways – so it must be resonating.

Nonetheless;

  • I don’t want to feel blue
  • I don’t want you to feel blue
  • and neither of us should be coerced into buying a holiday.

So I dusted off some old tapes and settled on some lovely footage for this weeks Calming Farming. It’s taken from the farm in the Summer. Cows grazing the fields, bees clumsily buzzing around, and summer clothes.

It’s got nothing to do with right now, but everything to do with what’s ahead.

Blue skies are coming, and there’s lots to look forward to.

Lots of love from Ru + the farm.
